Today I had lamb chops from the butchers with Jersey Royal potatoes!

I smoked a spatchcocked chicken this afternoon that we used for chicken Caesar salads. We have plenty of leftovers, as well. My wife commented that smoked chickens always turn out amazing, and they're so easy, too. Just spatchcock, rub with avacado oil, season with chicken rub, throw it on the smoker, and then relax on the veranda until it is done.

That looks amazing. I never could get into wasabi, though; it always tasted weird and chemical to me. I don't think I've ever had "real" wasabi, though, just the fake stuff. Maybe I actually would like the real stuff.
You could always use dijonnaise. Or some grey "poop" on and mayonnaise.

Most grocery stores sell small cans of Wasabi powder you mix with water to make paste. I've no idea if it's "real" Wasabi but I like it. Mixed with soy for sushi dipping i can't detect any chemical flavor, nor when mixed with mayo for sandwiches.

Ever bought a piece of fresh horseradish or are your experiences with corporate concoctions?
I'm also weird with horseradish; I'm not a fan of it, however, I absolutely love cocktail sauce, which makes absolutely no sense. 🙃
Amish horseradish is our favorite (Yoders especially). I've made prepared horseradish before, buying the root, whoa it was hot! Problem is the roots are sold so big that its hard to use it all before it goes bad. Thought about growing it, but apparently you have to grow it in pots or it takes over everything.

We went out with some friends to a local Egyptian restaurant, I had the macaroni bechamel:

This particular restaurant is walking distance from us, but getting to be quite well-known. I know people who drive over an hour to eat here.

Yes! The one I bought would've lasted years at the rate I eat horseradish. It was really hot too!
