What is the best way to check if a baked cheesecake is done?

Usually, I cook pies or flour cakes. I don't have much experience with making a baked cheesecake or any cheesecake at all. I would like to try, but need more information.

I test it by shaking it to see if it's set but still jiggling a bit in the center, in which case it's done and the cooling time will firm up with the remaining heat of the cake.
