What produce/ingredients did you buy or obtain today (2026)?

When you say "sickly hot", is that the chile heat, or the flavour overall?
Ghost peppers are Indian Naga Jolokia; around 1,400,000 Scoville Units. I grew some here at home once.
That means they're about 175 times hotter than an average jalapeño.

Overall flavor. The balance between the tuna and the chile is way off. It's like I said, a chili with canned fish texture. 👎

We got Maui style maui onion potato chips
Large bag of dark chocolate covered macadamia nuts
Small bag of milk chocolate macadamia nut
Small bag of honey macadamia nut
A large bag of chocolate and caramel pop corn and macadamia nut
A large bag of mango covered in chocolate
A yogurt parfait for my husband’s dinner.
When in Hawaii you have to eat the local food

I finally bought some guava juice, not 100% but maybe 20%.
We also bought lots of papayas, pineapples, apples, bananas, and some crispy thin cookies, maui onion crisp, macadamia nuts of all sorts.
My husband said the dark chocolate covered macadamia nuts might not be as good as the milk chocolate, so that’s what we ended up with, a whole box.
One thing I didn’t get is coconut ice cream, now that I’m in Hawaii.
Maybe tomorrow.

Scored at Kroger! Rarely shop there but when I do I find a deal. Got the pork belly for around half off and some of it's in the brine already.👍

I cubed up some of the pork belly I got the other day and went to cook it with my sambal, but the sambal was all moldy. ☹️ So, Morelo's Market was the first thing after Pippi's grooming appointment.

I got the poblano peppers for a quarter since they were wilting and roasted them!
