Shopping later for the week, my wall list is empty, I need to fill it out. Water melon will be there along with chicken schnitzel. I need to get it going now.

That's a lot of finger limes! I think its usual to only use a smallish amount of 'pearls' on a dish. Not sure how well they will keep... as a matter of interest, where were they grown?

Having never had finger limes before, I don't know much about them, except for recommends. My big issue now will be scheduling meals to use them. But they were delivered with some informative literature describing how they may be used with a very large variety of food and beverages.

These finger limes were grown on an orchard near Visalia, California. That's out in the south central valley, the San Joaquin valley. A lot of California's agriculture is located in the central valley. But it's a big state and ag' exists in a lot of other parts too, including right here in my area, where the biggest garlic farm in the world is located.

They will grow anywhere citrus will grow since that's what they are. We had a small tree in a huge pot, but I went through a period of "I don't feel like taking care of the plants" and it died.

They keep pretty much like any other citrus, several weeks, at least ours did.

These finger limes are actually smallish and I don't think I will really have to worry about them perishing. I will probably use them quite quickly, for their size.

I'm sorry. It occurred to me that you wanted to know where I ordered them from.

I would think you can get spiny lobsters from Mexico. I have had them in Baja, and they were excellent.

Peach ice cream from UDF (local makers of both ice creams below) is seasonal and much anticipated around here (not by me, though). MrsT said, "Make sure you get mah peach ice cream," but I didn't know which one she wanted, so I got both:
