Trying some foreign candy.

The Finnish people share our Dutch love of Salmiak ( salty liqourice) . So I ordered chocolate with salmiak filling ( Salmiakki) , and Tyrkisk peber ( hard salmiak candy) . I love them both.

I also ordered smartie buttons from England because we don't have them here and they are nice. And the big bag of winegums are actually a traditional Dutch sweet called Tumtum.

This is my stash for a month.

ive established a rapport with the lady on the deli counter. A couple of days ago she recommended a particular local halloumi cheese, and it was unbelievable compared with the usual packet stuff. Apparently, the real good stuff is made only with a mix of sheep and goat milk, whereas the commercial stuff is diluted with cows milk for cost reasons. Anyway, today she recommended this kefalotyri, a hard cheese also made with sheep and goats milk, and tasting a bit like Gruyere.

Whether the duck eggs are organic or not, I do not know. They weigh between 65 and 70 grams each.
