Who owns a Saucier?

It looks something like THIS

Mainly, it is used for making sauces or gravies that are made from a roux base. it has rounded corners at the bottom to allow a wire whisk or spoon to get at any unmixed roux mixture & help it to blend easily with the roux for smoother sauce or gravy. :wink:
 
Its a beautiful thing. I don't own one but I would like to. How big is it?

They go from 2 qts. to about 4 or 5 qts. Some are also ridiculously expensive!! The 2-qt size is cheap.

I have & can use these beautiful orange ones pictured above, since they have rounded corners! :wink:

Yes, but not these brands.

My parents and in laws gave us Le Creuset several years ago ..
 
I didn't know what a "saucier" was. Had to look it up. I have saucepans which I find perfectly adequate for my needs.
