Won a Pressure Cooker.

I was at a birthday party the other day. There was a raffle, so I participated in it. And I found out that the prize that I won was a pressure cooker! Of course, I was not going to turn it down! So I brought it home!

It looks something like this. Similar to one that I had like this before. It holds 6 liters.

Thanks! They come in many different ways;

Regular stovetop
Electric with many cyles options
And now, as a air fryer also!!

I have the Ninja Foodi, but I also still like the old-school stovetop units as well.

I use a large 18 litre pressure cooker to autoclave my Kilner jars of soup and preserves.

You'd be surprised. A lot of people are afraid of pressure cookers. Ever sine the Boston Marathon bombing & even before that. Their worst thought if anything & above all else, believe it or not, is that it may blow up during use. And so, they think that their worst fears may come true!

But I'm not in fear cause I know how to use them. And I don't abuse or disrespect them. I stay within the guidelines of them. But believe it or not, there is no hissing sound during use. Only a little bit now & then, to get rid of excess pressure.

I don't use all four at the same time. Just different ones on occasion.

Making soup, I individually cook ingredients in the three small pressure cookers and then use the large one to pressure cook the filled Kilner jars of finished soup.
