Worth growing lentils?

I wondered if it was worth growing lentils.

They are not too expensive to buy dried but I wondered if they can be grown at home and is it worth it when they are so small? I have a garden patch free of about 1 metre by 3 metres.

Which ones were you considering? There are differences and dozens of varieties.

TBH seriously how many can you grow ? They are neither rare nor expensive. There are lots of other plants that would give better return both in flavour and satisfaction on such a limited plot

I think the yield is so small it isn't worth the bother, TBH!

I grew them last year and won't bother again as the fiddly time consuming process of getting them off the plant and the quantity you get from the space you use to grow them compared to something like beans just doesn't make it worth it.
