Xmas club, do you?

We shop at new world here, peer st ilam branch. Nz wide they do xmas club, wife get groceries there and adds $20 every week or so. She has about 200 credit that we buy over xmas. We buy stuff we dont normally buy during the year.
Do you guys have them??

Christmas clubs are a well established thing in the UK. It used to be informal (and unregulated) groups in large factories or working mens clubs who held money for you and gave it all back in December. But now there are national savings schemes like Park ( no link intentionally because they skim a percentage and prey on the least solvent in society).
We have never done a saving scheme because we don't spend more than we can afford at christmas, but we do save our supermarket loyalty points for the year to offset against the big shop in December. It normally accounts for £50-70 so it pays for the booze.
 
Banks in the US had Christmas Club savings accounts back in the 1960s. My parents always had one. I haven't seen one since then.
