Photo retouching has many purposes, often cleaning up extraneous elements that appear in an image.

The big problem with the following two Connecticut Victorian house photos was the wires, wires for telephone, wires for power and so forth. The houses were webbed with wires.

In the second photo which I include here, it was not entirely cleaned up and some of the wiring problem is still visible.

I often have to take wires and other things out of my car photos. Sometimes I have to go a bit further, like when I can't photograph really good car in a good location, like this 1931 Cadillac V-12.

That kind of work is tedious, and takes a good bit of time, but it is very rewarding when you are done.

I was born 10 years too soon, didn't quite get the techno stuff, although I do computer stuff just not photoshop or Instacrap. Although I use my phone for paying bills etc. there is real skill in doing what you do, I can't get my head around " moving" stuff around in photos??
