I shared a phone call with my one year older brother today for Christmas/New Years and he shared a photo of his 'girl friend', Sarai, an Australian blue heeler cattle dog. He approved posting the photo here for people to see.


Our down under members like SatNavSaysStraightOn and murphyscreek will likely know this breed more than the rest of us.
 
Made it back from Christmas at the beach with my father. It's become a monthly pilgrimage to Virginia Beach as I am the only child and his only living relative. A lot falls on my shoulders and he's all I have so it gets consuming between my work and life, but we have to be there and it's one of the reasons I'm not as active as I'd like to be on the boards.

Got him out for a couple of adventures. He's been through a really rough patch the past few years so I try to maximize time with him when I can, while also trying to not over do it with him.

While he is legally blind now (macular degeneration) he can still see enough to enjoy a good sunset. Just getting out in the fresh, salty air does him (and me) a lot of good.
