These were a total experiment. Not sure of their shelf life, but I didn't make enough for it to be an issue given how yummmm they turned out (in my opinion).
Ingredients
2 cups oats
120 gms sharp cheddar cheese (grated)
1/2 apple (cored) finely diced
2 tbsp finely chopped pickled onion
1 tsp dried thyme
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp cracked black pepper
1 egg
50 gms butter
Method
Preheat oven to 180 degrees celsius. Melt butter and place in a mixing bowl, allowing to cool slightly. Thoroughly mix in all other ingredients, then spread on to a greased, square, baking tray to around 3/4 inch thick. Bake for around 25-30 mins. Remove, allow to cool, and slice in to desired squares or rectangles.
