A small piece of history

On my walk home I go pass a row of 2 bed terrace houses, 1 house stands out because it is completely different, it is much wider and has more rooms.
It has been recently sold and work had begun, the garage is being converted into a room, the renovation work has uncovered this original sign, which explains the shape and size of the building.

This was a house in the 1970s so no idea when it was converted. May need to do some research to satisfy my curiosity.
 
I have put out some feelers on facebook, up to now the 1 response is that the building changed hands 53 years ago.

Not sure to be honest which is why I am asking around, may need to check a few archives. There is a local retired lady who looks at this kind of thing as a hobby and has put together a few books about the local area so will definitely pick her brain.
