I want to make some plain buckwheat or quinoa then add yeast extract.
Normally, I would pour some into a measuring container, weigh it then pour it into my mixture.
However, yeast extract is quite stringy, so may not pour very easily. It could also end up sticking to the wooden spoon without getting stirred in.
What's the best way to add it?

Sprinkle it in. Very little is used, normally tsp's or smaller in most recipes so it shouldn't be a problem. If you google recipes with yeast extract it should become clearer for you how to use it. But if you decide to pour yeast extract into your recipe, let us know how it turns out. Cheers.

The only kosher yeast extract I can get in London is from Meridian. It has a marmite like consistency, so I couldn't really sprinkle it. This looks the most promising, but I'll probably add it at the end to avoid destroying the B12. Roasted nuts recipe
Alternatively, I may use engevita nutritional yeast at the end.
