I came across a link to an article on the Daily Mash http://www.thedailymash.co.uk/featu...ianism-while-still-eating-meat-20171122139526 which I find rather amusing, particularly as it could be describing me (except for the drugs bit!).

I've had several comments on my posts/recipes about how nicely vegan they are, but I've never really thought of them as being vegan, or even vegetarian, before. Although I do like meat or poultry, I do try to limit myself to once or maybe twice a week.

I had to have a little laugh, though. My lunch today was a toasted sandwich with plenty of salad leaves, onion, and tomato, plus two rashers of back bacon

How would you describe yourself? Or does this article refer to you too?

The above article from the Daily Mash is a bit tongue in cheek and obviously not to be taken too seriously - but the term 'flexitarian' has certainly come into currency. Here is a non tongue in cheek definition from https://theflexitarian.co.uk/the-flexitarian-diet/:

What is the flexitarian diet? The flexitarian diet is a plant-based diet with the occasional addition of meat. Flexitarians are also known as flexible vegetarians, casual vegetarians or vegivores. Quite simply there are no rules. Some flexitarians will have a meat-free meal once a week while others will only eat meat on rare occasions.

The flexitarian diet is increasing in popularity especially with people who do not want to commit to a full vegetarian or vegan lifestyle. It allows them a flexibility that they can adapt to their lifestyle, social life or health conditions. Surprisingly the adepts of flexitarianism are not only people who want to reduce their meat consumption but also vegetarians or vegans who decide to reintroduce meat into their diet.

I think I'm most definitely a flexitarian since I frequently go for days without fish or meat. Increasingly so, since my son went vegan! I could very easily be vegetarian except for my love of seafood. However, as cooking is my main interest/hobby I would still want to taste test any meat dishes I cooked (tasting is a vital part of cooking). I recently cooked a recipe with coconut milk and was not able to taste it properly as I have an intolerance. I had to rely on the family to taste test it - and @The Late Night Gourmet kindly stepped in and tested the recipe too. :D
