This can be made a variety of different ways. It’s basically about combining lime juice with the flavoring of a chili. You can use Cayanne pepper powder or similar.
Ingredients
2 limes
1 tablespoon Ma La sauce
14 ounces salted Spanish peanuts
Directions
1. Preheat oven to 275 F.
2. Zest limes. Squeeze the juice from limes. Whisk juice and zest together with sauce.
3. Mix peanuts thoroughly in mixture to coat.
4. Spread peanuts on a baking sheet. Bake for 10 minutes. Scrape peanuts from the pan and redistribute.
5. Bake for another 20 minutes or until peanuts are fragrant.
6. Allow to cool somewhat before storing. The outdoors work if you have someone who might be bothered by the smell of cooling peanuts. Not that this describes anyone I know...
