Recipe Chilli lime chutney

I've made this to go with dinner tonight and it already smells and tastes lovely.

Main ingredients
1 lime thinly sliced and cut in segments.
2 tsp chopped ginger
1 tsp chopped garlic
1 chopped green chillies
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp turmeric

Temper
1/3 cup veg oil
1 tsp yellow mustard seeds
1/2 tsp brown mustard seeds
1/2 tsp black mustard seeds
1/2 fenugreek seeds

Mix the main ingredients and leave aside.
Heat oil for the temper and add mustard seeds until they pop and add fenugreek.
Add really hot oil/spice mixture to the lime/chilli mixture and leave with lid on until cool.

I will serve this tonight with a vegan curry but I think it would go really nicely with fish curry so might try that tomorrow.

That sounds lovely! Supper plans are now veering towards curry!
 
Today we had fennel rice, chana daal and (red lentil) daal, and onion pakoras. And the chutney. Unfortunately it is still sitting on the hob as we have an unexpected visitor.*

The veg man only just arrived so the planned veg are postponed.

ETA. A very welcome unexpected visitor.

ETA*2. It was delicious. Must make a fish curry soon and try it with that.
