Egg cups

I used to have four, but one broke:

I also have two very cheep white ones around here somewhere, but I've mislaid them (cheep...laid...egg...get it?! :roflmao: ).

They're common enough here that the ones above are available at a Williams-Sonoma outlet store about 20 minutes from the house, and the white ones (and those egg spoons) were had at my local Kroger.

I think that they come in stainless steel also!! :whistling:

Here they are!!! :whistling:

My egg topper must be a cheap one or the eggs too big, because it lops off nowhere near as far down as that topper. It's one of the things I don't like about it.

egg size matters . . .
we were shopping at Weis, bought eggs, Grade A Large.
at home I noticed they looked a bit small - check the carton - there is NO USDA seal printed/used.
the egg was loose in the stainless cup . . .
a USDA large egg = 2 ounces = 56.7 grams.
out of 10 remaining eggs in the carton, only 1 was "big enough"
note to self: be sure the egg carton has the USDA seal . . . .
