- 500 g grated potatoes
- 1 medium size onion
- 1 egg
- 1 tbsp corn starch
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
- Vegetable oil for frying
Instructions
- Grate the potatoes into thin strips
- Squeeze out the excess liquid
- Add the corn starch and mix it until slightly consistent in texture
- Add the egg and mix it well
- Season with salt and black pepper
- Finally grate the onion and into the bowl
- Give it a quick stir until combined
- Heat up the oil in a pan to 170°C / 340 °F
- Transfer the mixture in batches to form 1 cm thick disc shapes
- Fry until crispy and golden brown on each side
- Transfer on a paper towel to get rid of the excess oil
- Serve with sour cream, dill, chives and dried mint mixture
