Green peppercorns

Just joined and wondered if anyone knows why green peppercorns have disappeared from supermarket shelves.

Now, I hadn't noticed that green peppercorns had disappeared. Do you mean the ones which are pickled in jars?

I just searched and Waitrose have Bart's Green Peppercorns (not the ones pickled in jars).

We have these but not all year round.

They produce a very pleasant pepper sauce for meat.

@Craigmac, I was just thinking about green peppercorns and I was wondering what you (yourself) use them for. They aren't the most often used ingredient. I have some on my spice shelf and I sometimes add them to marinades but I can't think what else. It would be interesting to hear what you use them for.
