Still have the book. Julia was a trailblazer and If I was American I would be very proud of what she represents in the culinary landscape of America.

As a matter of fact, I just watched Julia last night, it was very good.
The last time DH & I went to visit with his family in and around the Washington DC area, I got to see Julia Childs kitchen at the Smithsonian

I’ve read about her kitchen before, the way it was designed to scale to fit her larger frame. Very fascinating stuff.

I watched the first couple episodes. It is good, though not very food focused. More about the drama of her starting up her show. Her husband is played by the guy who played Miles in Frasier - their relationship is very good.
