Temporary farewell

Guinness Quiche, followed by Guinness Ice Cream?

Guinness, ptui! Tonight's special at The Mallard Tavern is...Danish stout.

That stout is delicious! Very black, roasty, toasty bitterness and a gentle coffee-edged sweetness to give balance. Not that you'd have much balance if you drank a few of them - 6.5%. A nice little drink for the end of an evening, though.

had some Staffordshire stout last night, not very good compared to the Cheshire and Lancashire ones... shall not have it again. Do we have a beer thread, or is this one becoming one?

There is a "Favourite Beer" thread in the "Beverages, Drinks and Smoothies" section. I'm not entirely sure what this thread is now. It seems to be a bit like the Hydra - new bits keep growing on it.

This is more stout, and how the house is getting plastered.

T'is only morn, or is this planning ahead?

"as you'll be headed for town"

There's no forward planning involved, though tonight's sunset will probably be as good as last night's. What I did note was that it was as warm in Edinburgh yesterday as it was in Rome (21C) and we can't say that very often.
