I have asked Shaun to install a free addon which emails everyone who has been active on the site in the last 30 days with a round up on the most active threads on the site.
For the time being, I have configured the system to run early on Saturday morning and list the 7 most active threads from the previous week. It will display the forum the thread is in, the name of the thread and who created the thread originally.
You have the option to opt out of you don't want to receive this once a week email if you so desire. That option can be found at the bottom of each email.
You will get something looking like this.
