What is the most famous food in your country?

Scotland has to be haggis doesn't it?

Actually for me, it is tattie scones, square sausage and (clootie) dumpling with a fried egg.

This is the closest I can find to my childhood memories of what we had. tattie scones are on the left at the bottom, under the eggs. Square sausage is bottom right and the dumpling is to right, but the dumpling I knew was much bigger and a half circle. It would have been about 10-15cm in diameter...

I live in the West Country region, and for this area I think it would be Cider, cheddar cheese, and strawberries are the first things that spring to mind.

Born in Northern Ireland and there it would be (for me), breads (soda, wheaten, potato etc), dulse (seaweed), potatoes etc! Oops forgot whiskey!

I think our most famous foods here in the UNited States would be pizza and hamburgers. There are so many ways to serve them and everyone loves them. Apple pie too is a great favorite, and cheesecake is beloved by many Americans including myself.
