I was wondering if anyone has heard of or made rum balls. My mom use to make these when I was a kid( yes we really did get to eat the alcoholic kind) and I loved them. I would like to make some myself but I don't know where to get a recipe for them. Anyone have a good recipe for rum balls? I would appreciate it.

This is very interesting because I just found out that rum balls is a Jamaican version of this recipe, and it's similar to chocolate truffles. It's a shame I've never had this dish, but there are still many Jamaican dishes that I have not tried. Our food culture here in Jamaica is very diverse. Here's a link to the recipe of the Jamaican rum balls:

We call them 'rum truffles' over here in the UK, and they are usually rolled in chocolate sprinkles.

My mum used to make them at Christmas. Will see if she has the recipe.

Thank you guys. I liked the recipe on that website, but it's not the same one my mom made. I'm still willing to try it though. It looks good.
