I loveeeee hearty soups in bread bowls and I've NEVER been able to recreate it. Does anyone have any kind of tips on how to make breadbowls? Preferably in bulk?
Buy suitable unsliced crusty loaf of bread, slice top off, pull innards out, full with soup?
Guess you could even try miniature versions with suitable crusty bread rolls
And if the loaf or roll is not crusty enough putting it in a hot oven for 10 minutes should sort that out.
I made these adorable soup bowls with heavily toasted Hawaiian bread for the Super Bowl. I use the word 'soup' loosely in that I used a more chunky stew. I refer to it as Stoup.
