On the national news in the UK last night it was reported that a mother was asked to stop breastfeeding in Mothercare. Mothercare is a well-known UK chain selling baby clothes and equipment. Ironically, the woman who was banned was a midwife! To be honest, I think it seems to have been a case of an individual employees stupidity and ignorance because the chain has a positive policy of allowing mothers to breastfeed in the premises.

What do you think? I did it all the time back in the 70's and 80's - 4 kids. Would you breastfeed your baby in public? Are you offended by the idea?
