What's a pristine bottom?

Pristine, as in perfectly clean or like new. Mine all have patches of burned-on stains. It doesn’t bother me too much. What's a pristine bottom?![]()
Me neither, I don't cook the food on the bottom.Pristine, as in perfectly clean or like new. Mine all have patches of burned-on stains. It doesn’t bother me too much.

But the cooking starts on the bottom in order to reach the entire contents in the pot or pan.Me neither, I don't cook the food on the bottom.![]()

Not really! As long as it doesn't affect the functionalityIt would bother me if one pot or pan in my new set would be even scratched, much less burned. You spend money for a new set, you want it to look new for a long time, don't you?![]()
For me, they’re things to be used, so they’re going to show some signs of that. I’m ok with it.You spend money for a new set, you want it to look new for a long time, don't you?![]()

Would also remove the paint layer on your brand new potsIf all else fails, if you have an electric drill, you just need scouring pads & a buffer that will fit the drill, then you can give the pot a new lease on life.
