Can’t post pics

Are you getting any kind of error?

(That’s me in the stroller, BTW).
 
The onl thing that happened was there was an OS update for my phone, but I can still post pics on other sites no problem. I click the little icon, it opens my picture album, I click the Pic, and it's supposed to import the photo, but It doesn't, the box stays empty.

OK, it's the browser, the browser I usually use isn't letting me post pics, but when I use the chrome phone app (🤮) it works

Just because you can upload on other sites doesn't mean you can here after a phone update.

The best option is to try another Web browser especially if you are using a less common one like the Samsung browser. That one is often a problem.

I was using the same browser I have been for the past 4 years.

The browser will have received an update in the phone update especially if it is a built in browser that came with the phone software. If it is not the browser that came with the phone, it will have been updated a few days later.

It is very common for them to be updated before the software we rely on is updated. the company who writes this forum software have to wait for updates to occur before they can see what issues may have arisen for them to address. They also rely on open source code to be updated as well, which again takes time.

Neither your phone or this site is on the same software as it was 4 years ago.

If you test with another mainstream (or big player) browser and you can upload, and other members can upload without issues, it is the browser that is the problem and until updates filter down through the software there is nothing to be done.

Periodically my keyboard plays up in my preferred browser and for a short period until the updates to the site get sent to me to install with, I also have to use an alternative browser.
 
our cell phones stopped doing cellular data yesterday . . .
the Xfinity techie wasn't the least 'surprised' - apparently some mysterious update (when they won't tell you, it's likely all their fault . . . ) caused the whole world to go to the flukes.
using the 'reset network connections' followed by a shut-down & restart did the trick.

which brought to mind for the cell phone posters here... many cell phone leave the app (i.e. browser) "open" but inactive when you switch away from it. and many times updates (to x,y,z . . . ) do not advise or trigger a phone restart - hence 'the old app code' is still 'in memory.'
this can of course cause all kinds of weird problems. do a full power down and restart on the phone clears out the 'still running old code' issue - it's a cheap and easy thing to try . . .
