Chicken à la king?

I have a recipe but I’m not home. I’ll post it later.

I must have missed that one.
I make two other food items from their show.
Did they show it?

I make what my neck of the woods calls chicken and biscuits. Which is chicken in a cream sauce over biscuits. Sometimes it is served over mashed potatoes. Especially in diners. School served it over biscuits.
It's a great way to use up leftover chicken, but course you could cook the chicken before cooking the veggies.
What I was told ala king meant, was the inclusion of peas. Whereas creamed chicken was more simple (IE: fewer ingredients).
A quick Google says ala king is a more elegant dish, thus the name. Like msmofet 's. Lots going on there :)

My simple version is:
Saute some diced carrots, celery and onions in butter. Season with S&P.
Meanwhile, shred some leftover chicken.
When the veggies are near done, add more butter if necessary and make a roux using flour.
Add either chicken stock, milk, or both to thicken.
Add the cooked chicken. Taste and season if necessary.

And that's about it. Pretty simple.
Over bannock in this case. And I guess ala king ;)

Whenever I want chicken a la king, I just make my chicken pot pie filling and serve it over mashed potatoes or rice and say, “Close enough!” - chicken, peas, carrots, corn, onion in a cream sauce highly seasoned with black pepper and poultry seasoning.
