I'm trying very hard and doing well giving up Dr Pepper. But now I'm finding myself wanting to snack! Ugh! I don't want to gain weight because I quit drinking Dr Pepper. I have been craving fudge, milk, and salty chips. Sipping ice Tea or water isn't cutting it.

What foods help quit the cravings?

A woman thing I think, my wife craves chocolate but she's also watching her weight. I have a wee stash of chocolate peanuts that I keep for when she's really craving. Only small packs of about 150gms. I don't really crave, I can take or leave most things, but I love curries and eggs.

Look for foods that make you feel full. Foods high in fiber, complex carbohydrates, nuts and beans can do that. Dairy, including milk, can make you feel full, too.

A skin full of rum n coke fills me up!
But seriously I sometimes only eat one meal a day. I get reflux a bit but it seems to be getting better and I eat a bit more in the morning or lunch. Like I've just cooked beef sausages, so I'll prolly have a sammy for lunch tomorrow. Sausy and tomato, relish sammy. Or a dressed sausy. Watch this space.

I keep Werther's sugar-free caramel hard candies, and Jell-o sugar-free pudding cups in the house when I crave something sweet. It comes in vanilla, chocolate, and parfait cups. There's low-carb Butter Pecan ice cream. It's pretty boring.

I just remembered... I bought Country Time sugar-free lemonade on-line. The package is smaller than I thought it would be. I haven't tried it yet.

I also have ice cream cups in the freezer. Vanilla with chocolate. Portion control. Sometimes a few bites will satisfy me.

For medical reasons, I gave up carbs (sugar, pasta, bread) for a while. It wasn't easy. Good luck.

Thank you.

I really don't have cravings for snacks or replacements for other foods.
Nor me really - and luckily I have no sweet tooth. I don't even like chocolate. I do crave for oysters on a regular basis though. And sometimes when someone posts a photo of their food here, I get a craving for it.

Only cravings I have is when I give up smoking. Then it's midget gems.

Or when I've been smoking. Then it's chocolate.

Since I lost over 100 pounds several years ago, I really only eat Dinner and usually have leftovers for breakfast. I used to buy bar cakes on a regular basis. We have a carrot cake in the fridge, but I haven't touched it yet. Just not into sweets like I used to be.

I used to use smokeless tobacco, but in 2009 the price went to over $6.00 a can. I quite cold turkey.

Y'all are lucky! I do crave savory more than sweet. Unless I'm giving up the ''sauce'' (Dr Pepper). I am very good about if I do eat sweets then I have to make them. I make it, I control the ingredients, theory.
