To delete an image from a media gallery item, the easiest and safest way is to browse to the image you want to delete, so you can actually see the image itself.
To browse to the image, click Media in the Title Bar, then select either Your media or Your albums. Now, click the media item you want to delete (or, if you went into Your Albums, select the album, then the media item in that order).
Below the image you want to delete, there are three links: Report, Edit and Delete.
Click Delete, enter a reason, then click Delete again.
And the image has been deleted from the album you were in.
