With the advent of holiday seasons, I was wondering about diabetic people feeling excluded of the celebrations because in holidays food is particularly rich in all what they cannot eat.
So that, I thought to share some recipes for the diabetic patient, but also to anyone wanting to taste something different in holidays
Holiday Nog
Ingredients
1 cup Plain soy drink
1cup Orange juice
1 Medium banana
1 tsp Pure vanilla extract
8 Ice cubes
½ tsp Ground allspice
Instructions :
1. In a blender, combine the soy drink, juice, banana, vanilla, and ice cubes until smooth.
2. Pour into glasses and sprinkle with the allspice.
Makes 4 serves - Exchanges Per Serving 1 carbohydrate
