Does fresh milk contain sugar?

As a doc once told me; Thee is no such thing as a pre-diabetic or borderline diabetes. He said that you either have it or you don't.

@Shermie
Correct. My Dr. said the same thing
However she said the term is used as a warning. When A1C starts to creep up patients are advised to monitor sugar intake and incorporate an exercise program to avoid Diabetes. A diagnostic tool to delay the onset of Type 2 diabetes
Take care.

Thanks.
So it's the A1C levels that could trigger it. plus the fact that if it runs in your family, that could bring it on also! :ohmy:

Dairy milk does not contain ADDED sugars. At least, not the whole milk. I always wonder about the excipients in skim milk.

Lactose is a sugar, naturally occurring in milk. I have a friend who is lactose intolerant, in a bad way. He will use Lactaid milk in his coffee (it has somehow been rendered free of that sugar). PS, any "-ose" suffix on an ingredient always indicates a sugar...
Except "dominose".
