He had a couple hits I like. My wifes Ex was an Elvis impersonator so the Kings music is no longer appreciated in this home.

Elvis recorded the songs for Blue Hawaii down the street from where we lived.
I didn't realize how popular Elvis was until I got stationed down South in the Marines.
Everyone in the bus stations dressed like him and the ducktail haircuts, and the lip.

I knew of him from those B movies, though he did a few good ones too.

Then coming back from overseas spent some time in Hawaii he was really popular.
Of course Las Vegas still hasn't got over him.

I remember being in a pub in London many years ago. A chap dressed as (a later-era) Elvis appeared at the door. Unfortunately for him, he had massive shoulder pads on and got wedged in the doorway. Cue much hilarity.
