So, what's your favorite addition to a falafel stuffed in a pita bread?
I think it’s pretty easy to make your own tahini, and I know you like a challenge like that.Yogurt seems to be predominant.
I like SatNavSaysStraightOn tahini but any I can get around here is pricey and old. It's not much much on a Southern menu or item.![]()

I've gotten mine from Walmart before. It does keep a rather long time and they shouldn't carry it if it's past expiry date.Yogurt seems to be predominant.

I've already got everything to make tzatziki tomorrow.I've gotten mine from Walmart before. It does keep a rather long time and they shouldn't carry it if it's past expiry date.
I would probably make some hummus (with tahini, it's the best) to go with the pita or other type of flatbread and some raita or tzatziki to go with the falafel. I bet rascal has a good recipe for raita.
I don't put mint in mine. A matter of personal preference as I only like mint (occasionally) in iced tea.
Never done it. I was just looking up what raita was.I don't put mint in mine. A matter of personal preference as I only like mint (occasionally) in iced tea.
Ahh yes.Never done it. I was just looking up what raita was.
Raita is an Indian dish; basically yoghurt with herbs ( coriander leaf, mint, maybe dill)and diced cucumber. Occasionally, a pinch of cumin.I was just looking up what raita was.
