Filipino Omelette Recipe
Omelet is very healthy and easy making food for everyday diet. Try new Filipino Omelette recipe for your daily breakfast. Tortang itlog simply translates to omelet or fried eggs with ground meat and some diced potatoes. It is one of those quick and easy, yet delicious, foods. This dish is usually eaten with rice and banana ketchup as a condiment.

Recipe Ingredients
1 lb ground turkey
4 to 5 large eggs – beatem
1/2 cup diced red bell pepper
2 Tablespoon of chopped cilantro
1/4 cup diced red onion
2 teaspoon full of minced garlic
1/2 teaspoon of ground black pepper
1 1/2 teaspoon of salt
1 teaspoon ground black pepper vegetable oil for pan frying

Cooking Process:
Place a non stick pan over high heat.
Add 1 tablespoon oil.
When the oil is hot, Add diced potato.
Stir fry until golden brown.
Add onions and garlic then stir fry until onion is translucent.
Add salt and pepper.
Add ground meat and stir fry until it’s golden brown.
Add bell pepper and cook for another minute.
Mix in chopped cilantro.
Transfer cooked ground meat in a bowl. Wipe pan clean.
Return pan over medium heat, heat up 1 tablespoon of oil in the same non-stick pan.
Combine cooked ground meat and beaten eggs in a bowl.
Scoop about 3 Tablespoon of ground meat/eggs in the pan.
You may cook 2 or 3 tortas at a time depending on how wide your pan is.
Fry each side until golden brown.
Scoop another Tablespoon of eggs on top of the meat.
Repeat the process until you used up all the ingredients.
Add more oil if needed.
Garnish with the remaining chopped cilantro.
You may eat these Tortas with rice and with Banana ketchup or just regular ketchup.
In addition to Banana ketchup, like mine with hot sauce, like Tabasco.
