Food and culture in other countries

Could be worse.
True, I didn’t mean it as a slight against Stella, just that it’s a commonly found beer here, so when I walk into a bar (“An idiot walks into a bar…”) and see the tap is Bud, Bud Light, Guinness, and Stella, I’m happy to drink the Stella (or the Guinness), but a little bit of me cries inside, having hoped for something I don’t see every day.

Never understood why Stella has a big market in the states and UK.
It's not popular in the Netherlands and not even that much in Belgium
I like Molson Canadian, Labatt, Rolling Rock, and many others. I don't crave Stella but if it's on sale at the grocery store I would buy it, and given the choices TastyReuben mentioned, I'd order it at a bar or restaurant, too.

. . . . take a cruise! it'll be fun!!

I was in the Navy. deployed to the Mediterranean three times, which lasted 8 months to 11 months each....
being newlyweds . . . once upon a cruise - about 5 months into it . . . DW flew over to Athens, and I took some leave.
she planned out the trip - hotels, places to go, etc.
met her at the airport, next morning after the usual and customary activities,,, I asked
"So what's the plan, dear?"
"We're going on an island cruise!!!"
" . . . . oh . . . "

My son drinks peroni so I tried it. It's really nice but a little expensive .
I don’t buy beers 🍻

You should brew your own beer. You've got the time and space for it, I think?

I did about 40 years ago.. Coopers lager.
It was actually quite nice. Apart from a bit of sediment in the bottom. High in alcohol too. Then I got.a job that paid pretty good. (36k ) in 85
I started on spirits about 20 years ago
No beer except occasionally to be polite or pub with my mate dafyd.
He's actually called David but we call him dafyd after little Britain. Lol
