Food labelling: gluten free, organic etc.

I have enough to worry about without worrying about food processing. I buy fresh produce and meat and raw grains. I wash them. I cook from scratch rather than canned, frozen, freeze dried or most everything else. I can't worry about a minute amount of chemistry in my worcestershire sauce or my vinegar. There are bigger things to be concerned about. I'm not willing to worry about it. I'm 81 years old. Long term planning is kind of silly for me.

Perhaps we could just say that it is possible to have gluten in vinegar but it isn't enough to matter. I'm sure someone with disagree with that. Personally I like foods with gluten and I'm healthy and of normal weight for a geezer my age.
Just to note that the labelling concern is simply for information. It's for people who are allergic to gluten and want to avoid it in food. It's not about stopping anyone or suggesting that gluten is harmful in general.

Referencing the earlier posts about organic offerings, here’s a little game I call Spot the Organic Items:

You’d worry about it if you knew it could make you very, very ill or even potentially kill you.
Food processing would become irrelevant!

Ps congrats on making it to 81!

Yep and it’ll take you faster if you have allergies and don’t read the labels.
If there’s an afterlife, I’m pretty sure the person in Administration who meets me first is going to welcome me by saying, “Well…that was stupid, wasn’t it?”

I died once and for me there is an afterlife and there's no discussion, at all, with any entity. 👍

Or spot the organic items no one bought! Those lemons look a bit expired! 😅 Is that in a regular supermarket? What is the price difference?

Non-organic single lemons are 85¢ each…organic ones are $1.29 each each.

…and I’ve watched store employees unpacking them - they come out of the box that way.
