Regardless, living in the Aussie bush you do need reliable communications.
The problem is that they charge you to dig up there route from where ever the line is, to the house, crossing many fields in the process. And we're tenants.... the likelihood is that at least 1km of land will need digging up to lay the cables and then no digging in that area again etc. By which time the signal booster and licence with new fitting it will be cheaper.

The good news is that I know we have a good signal on the roof. :D we have to sweep the chimney 2-3 times a stove heating the house season... so we're familiar with the roof!
