French Press (Cafetière)

Got a French press. Asked the coffee shopkeeper to give me a French press grind. He looked at the French press and made the grind. Black coffee drank this way tasted marvellous. My parents did not want to "waste" the coffee so they would drink with the sediments as well(like an instant coffee) and complain about the coffee being too bitter.

We will only make coffee in a cafetière. We much prefer it that way, or at least my husband does. We have several glass ones which makes life easier - a one person sized (which they claim is 4 cups) and 2 person size (supposedly 8 cups). I can only assume that they think we should be drinking it like expresso coffee!

That looks like a bodum French press
I got the same one alrhough I don't use it often*. I like the coffee it makes though

* I generally make 1 cup of coffee and use an aeropress. I use a French press on holidays, but a stainless steel one

I've got one like that with a bamboo top but I prefer perked coffee.
