Friend on WHYY

One of my online friends was recently featured on WHYY (whatever that is).

He took over the household cooking several years ago as his missus has MS and flare ups mean she has difficulty moving around at times.

He really got into the cooking lark and last year he did some kind of recipe a day from America's Test Kitchen.

I think it was one of those things where he didn't know how much he enjoyed cooking until he got into it.

One of my online friends was recently featured on WHYY (whatever that is).

WHYY is a public radio station in Philadelphia, part of the National Public Radio Network. NPR doesn't take advertising, and they exist off government subsidies and (mostly) listener donations.

That may make them sound small potatoes, but NPR is a huge network, and WHYY is one of their larger stations, and they produce content for sister stations all over the country. Locally, I listen to "Fresh Air" (an interview show) and "You Bet Your Garden?" (a call-in gardening help show), both produced by and originating from WHYY.

In short - to be featured on WHYY is sort of a big thing. Kudos to your friend!
