Recipe Fruit cake recipe....can I use vodka?

So I found this SUPER AWESOME recipe online:

And I am like...it has alcohol in it..what if I wanted to replace the water with vodka? Would it be alcoholic? Would it change the flavour and be awful? I don't like the flavour of rum but I figure it's only 2 table spoons so not going to kill me. So yeah, how do I make this alcoholic without killing the flavour? ha ha

I hate to tell you this but that cake is not alcoholic. Yes it contains a small amount of alcohol but this is added before cooking and the alcohol will evaporate during cooking. All you will have its the taste of rum or brandy and not the alcohol.
