Hey all for the life of me I cant find a recipe that mimics the texture of a hard chewy gummy or gem, like the sweets midget gems or Rowntrees fruit gums. I was wanting to make cocoa flavoured gems like this as there's non in the world that sell things such as this. Long story short I want to replicate the marvellous Creations bar by Cadbury . This bar had cola gummies and salted pretzels inside the chocolate bar and it was delicious but they stopped makeing it !!!!!!!!

I'd have to ask if you have ever made any sort of gum sweets before? I'm an experienced cook but I wouldn't attempt to make gums. I think you probably need specialist ingredients and equipment.

Having googled a bit I found that the Creations bar is still being made. Its been re-named 'Marvellous Smashables' but is listed as 'Cadbury's Dairy Candy Bar' by Tesco's. Exactly the same ingredients.

I must say, I like sweets, gummies, chocolate, and candy, but that sounds a mess. You've heard the phrase "a party in your mouth" to describe something tasty? That sounds like a multi-car pileup in your mouth.

It is :okay:

I prefer the bits that have more popping candy than jelly (the jelly sticks to your teeth a bit), but its one of our favourites.

I just added it to my Morrison's order. This is bonkers - I don't even have a sweet tooth. But I thought in the interests of CookingBites I would test this product. Or it could be I've developed lockdown la-la land munchies. :)

I think there might be a recipe for jellies in the Persian cookbook I won here in 1 of the contests. Will look later.

Google "how to make cola or chocolate or whatever gummies."

There are several recipes for gummies at The Spruce Eats site and I've had good results with every recipe I've used from them.

Cola gummies

I remember back years ago there was a little kit where kids could make gummies on their own.
