Getting started with the Media Gallery is easier than you think.
Navigate to the area you want to create the album in.
In this example, I will use the Vegetables, Salads and Mushrooms, so I have navigated to that area (clicked Media, then Ingredients, Recipes and Discussions and finally Vegetables, Salads and Mushrooms) and I can now see the existing albums in that gallery.
Click "Create Album". In the new window, you enter the album name and add the contents to the album simultaneously.
So start by clicking on the Upload File button - this should really say Upload File(s) because you can add as many as you want to at this stage. Select the images you want, then click the Open button in the bottom-right corner. Some interfaces may differ from this, but the concept remains the same: select the images and click Open (or Upload).
The observant members will have noticed that I have deleted 2 of the images - I wanted to show the renaming options and save button on the same screenshot.
You do not have to rename the image, but I recommend it. This "Title" is what is displayed below your image when you link to it later on.
Do not click on Save yet. You have to enter a name for the album - so fill in the Album Title and optionally a description. Now you can click Save.
So that is your first album and contents made.
You will arrive back at a screen that shows you your album, and allows you to scroll through the contents, plus see the metadata associated with your images.
