I was gifted a new food processor. I haven't had one in ten or so years. I couldn't cook for 10 years because two natural disasters wiped me out twice a few years apart. It's nothing fancy, no frills and inexpensive, so the first thing I made in it was this recipe, and I kneaded the dough in the food processor. For the last 6 months, I've been kneading dough like great-great-gramma did. This recipe sounded like the rolls would be really tasty, and the rolls were so good, that out of 16 rolls, there are only 4 left this morning! Soft Dinner Rolls Recipe - Sally's Baking Addiction

That’s the main thing I use my FP for, kneading dough.
What size food processor do you have, and how many cups of flour can it knead?
I have an 8 cup food processor. When I make sandwich bread, I Use 8 to 9 cups of flour. I don't think I should knead more than 3 cups of flour dough in it or maybe 4 at the most. I used to have a bread maker before I lost everything. I have never used a food processor to knead, so I was a little wary about using it for that. But I just started baking bread again last summer. And it felt really good to knead it by hand, like I was connecting with something ancient. Now, I'm over the novelty...LOL

I’ll pull my manual out in a bit, it has all that in there, but yeah, that sounds like you might be overloading the bowl. I’ve got some work stuff to tend to, then I’ll look it up and get back to you.

Thanx! My user manual is a little cheap with information as well. Three was fine, and it worked nicely, but four might be overloading it. I can always do my sandwich bread in three batches, and just let it rise twice in three lumps first, and then three loaves.
