Green Tomatoes

I have a couple of tomato plants that are not going to ripen before I go on holiday and I am left wondering what I can do/cook with them. I have tried ripening them in the past, but it has failed, so I though that I would try using them green instead....

any ideas?

The only thing I can think of isn't too healthy, but it is so yummy. Fried green tomatoes! I love them and ate them growing up in the country. You should try them.

now that looks interesting. Don't mind unhealthy - we have a very healthy diet and lifestyle normally, so a touch of unhealthy is always good for the soul

I had also been wondering if there was such a thing as green tomato chutney - something to look at tomorrow I think.
