Recipe Hamburg Stroganoff.

Ingredients;

1/2 cup each; chopped;

Green pepper,
Celery.
Onion.,
Garlic.
1 cup ground beef.
1-1/2 cup noodles or bowtie pasta/
1 cup sliced mushrooms.
2 Tablesp oil.
1 cup sour cream.
1 cup ketchup.

Directions;

Heat oil in pan over medium heat. Add veggies & garlic. Saute until soft. Add ground beef. Brown. Add pasta & cook until aldente. Add mushrooms, sour cream & ketchup. Add pepper.

Stir everything together. Pour mixture into baking pan or casserole. Bake for about 30 minutes. Enjoy!

Interesting approach. I've always made the Stroganoff in a large skillet and cooked the noodles separately. Never thought to add ketchup.
 
As in Hamburg, Germany? Or a typo?

For our hamburgER stroganoff, we use

ground beef
Onions
Garlic
Cream of mushroom soup
Sliced crimini mushrooms
Chicken broth
Worcestershire sauce
Sour cream
Egg noodles cooked separately

It's a cheaper, quicker play on the traditional Beef Stroganoff.

I thought the same thing!

Hey....you know what this means, don't you? It means that someone (yeah, probably me) is going to have to make a German interpretation of this dish. Hmmm...spaetzle instead of egg noodles....sauerkraut...sausage....a beer-based stock...this could work!

Well, hamburgers were inspired by a meat patty made in Hamburg, and stroganoff is Russian, so maybe a potato spaetzle would split the difference.
 
Actually, the casserole was made using Bubba burgers, which are thick frozen burgers thawed out & broken up.. Don't have any bulk ground beef. :wink:
