Hi everyone

I am Vern and I am an enthusiastic home cook from Singapore. I love cooking and spent 2020 trying to perfect some French and Italian classics (some of them are even passable now), as well as working on my sous vide steak game. I plan to spend a fair bit of January trying out some British Indian Restaurant recipes.

Ha! I've actually had that book for many years and have cooked a few recipes from it. As a Christmas present to myself I bought The Curry Guy Bible as an alternative, and spent the last couple of days making BIR base gravies, pre-cooking meat, grinding masalas/powders and marinating some chicken tikka, which I plan to barbecue tomorrow.

(BTW I am also a Brit expat, been in SG for coming up to 20 years)
