Hi everyone! Just joined and wanted to say hello.
I'm David, based in Switzerland. I love cooking and I'm always curious about the history and science behind food. Like, I only recently found out that carrots were originally purple and that the Dutch bred the orange ones in the 1600s. Things like that fascinate me.
Day to day I cook a lot of Mediterranean and Swiss stuff. Rösti is basically a religion here. But I'm always trying to branch out and learn new cuisines. Currently on a bit of a Thai kick, trying to get pad kra pao right without a proper wok burner.
Looking forward to browsing the forums and picking up some ideas. This seems like a really welcoming community.
